Stamp Out Hunger 2017 Recap
Posted on July 25th, 2017April 27th – May 16th each Reasor’s location was setup with a drop off location at the main entrance, where customers had the opportunity to purchase a pre-made sack with the most needed items for $15 or drop off a non-perishable food donation.
With your help, 2,890 $15 sacks were sold. Customers were also given an opportunity to donate any amount at the register with a donation card. After all donations were counted, the total between cash donations and pre-made sacks came to $54,274! Thank you for making this event a success once again this year. All proceeds were donated to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
About the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma
The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma was founded in 1981 as the Tulsa Community Food Bank. They are the largest private hunger-relief organization in Eastern Oklahoma. Their mission is to feed the hungry of Eastern Oklahoma and engage our communities in ending hunger. The Food bank serves 450 Partner Programs in 24 counties of Eastern Oklahoma. These programs include emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, after-school programs and senior citizen centers. Nearly half of the food that is distributed to the hungry by these agencies comes from the Food Bank and together feed more than 346,000 people per week.
