During the month of October, for the eighth year in a row, all Reasor’s locations went Pink for the Cause for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Special displays were posted and fundraising efforts were launched company-wide making it possible for our customers to raise $11,110.10 for the Tulsa Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.

During the campaign, customers stopping by Reasor’s stores could purchase a special reusable bag contributing 100% of the proceeds or pick up a donation card used to donate any amount at the register to the cause.

Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.

On the local level, the Komen Tulsa Affiliate works to reduce breast cancer in Tulsa County by funding education, screening and treatment programs with an emphasis on the medically underserved. Since 1997, they have granted over $5.4 million to fund scientific research, education and screening programs in our community.
