Reasor’s Donates to the Tulsa Affiliate of Susan G. Komen
Posted on November 5th, 2018During the month of October, customers stopping by Reasor’s stores could purchase a special reusable bag contributing 100% of the proceeds to the cause. This year $2,101.39 was donated to the Tulsa Affiliate of Susan G. Komen from the sale of the bags.
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.
On the local level, the Komen Tulsa Affiliate works to reduce breast cancer in Tulsa County by funding education, screening and treatment programs with an emphasis on the medically underserved. Since 1997, they have granted over $5.4 million to fund scientific research, education and screening programs in our community.
